By creating an account or using Tillora, you agree to these terms. If you use Tillora for a business, you agree on behalf of that business.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login private and for activity in your account. Give us accurate information and tell us at support@tillora.com if you think your account has been misused.
Your content
You own the records and files you put into Tillora. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run the Service for you. You're responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.
AI features
Tillora uses AI to draft documents, read photos and answer questions. AI can make mistakes. Review every document, amount, tax line and payment match before you send or rely on it. You are responsible for what you send to your clients.
Not tax, legal or accounting advice
Reports, tax calculations and contract drafts are tools to help you work. They are not professional advice. Check with your accountant or attorney for your situation.
The marketplace
Tillora lets customers post projects and lets approved pros send quotes. Tillora is not a contractor and is not a party to any agreement between a customer and a pro. We don't perform, supervise or guarantee any work, and we don't set prices or hold payment for jobs.
Pros are independent businesses. Each pro is responsible for their licenses, insurance, permits, safety, pricing and the quality of their work. We review the license and insurance documents pros give us before approving them, but we can't guarantee that every document is accurate or still in force. Customers should confirm a pro's license and insurance and agree to a written contract before work starts.
Fees for pros are shown in the app before you unlock a project or choose a plan.
Online payments
Businesses can let their clients pay invoices online by card or bank transfer. Payment processing services for businesses on Tillora are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the “Stripe Services Agreement”). By turning on online payments, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as it may be modified by Stripe from time to time. As a condition of Tillora enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide Tillora accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorize Tillora to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe.
Payments go to your business's own Stripe account; Tillora doesn't hold your clients' money. Stripe's processing fees, and any Tillora platform fee, are shown before you turn payments on. You are the seller to your clients: you're responsible for your prices, taxes, refunds, chargebacks and disputes with your clients, and for any fees or losses Stripe charges to your account.
Text lines
If your business uses a Tillora text line, you're responsible for using it only with people who agreed to text your business, such as your own staff, and for following messaging laws. Anyone can reply STOP to stop receiving messages from a line, START to resume, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Full text-line terms: tillora.com/text-line.
Connected email
If you connect an email account, you let Tillora read and organize your mail and send the messages you choose to send from that account. You're responsible for what you send and for having permission to contact the people you email. You can disconnect at any time.
Early access and pricing
Tillora is free during early access. Features may change while we improve the Service. When paid plans start, they are listed on our pricing section (Free, Pro and Business). We'll tell you in advance, and you won't be charged unless you choose a paid plan. Tillora keeps a small fee on online invoice payments that depends on your plan (1% Free, 0.5% Pro, 0.5% Business), shown before you turn payments on, on top of the payment processor's own fees.
Acceptable use
Don't use Tillora to break the law, send spam, upload malware, access other people's data, or interfere with the Service.
Ending your use
You can stop using Tillora and delete your account in the app at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. Before we close an account for any reason other than abuse, we'll give you a chance to export your records.
Disclaimers and limits
The Service is provided “as is” during early access. To the extent the law allows, Tillora LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Tillora LLC is not responsible for the work, conduct, prices, payments or disputes between customers and pros, or for what a business sends its own clients using Tillora.
We work hard to keep Tillora accurate and available, but we don't promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted. Keep your own copies of important records (you can export them at any time) and check invoices, amounts and payment status before relying on them. We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by services we depend on, such as Stripe, Google, Twilio or your email provider, or by events outside our reasonable control.
Your responsibility to us
If a claim is made against Tillora LLC because of your content, your work for your clients or customers, or your breaking these terms, you agree to cover Tillora LLC's reasonable costs of that claim, including attorneys' fees, to the extent the law allows.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
Text messages (SMS)
Tillora sends text messages only to people who agree to receive them: business owners who turn on text alerts in Tillora, and team members who opt in through their employer’s Tillora text line. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to stop receiving texts at any time, or HELP for help. You can also email support@tillora.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We never sell or share mobile numbers or text opt-in information with third parties for their marketing. See the privacy policy for how we handle information.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
